Meet our new recruits!

My name is Lisa McGurk and I live with my husband Duncan, our little family of cats and our Staffordshire Bull Terrier Lola in the West of Scotland, about 20 miles from Glasgow.  I have been owned by cats for many years now and was introduced to Maine Coons about 5 years ago when my first, Minnie came to live with us.  Now, as anyone who is owned by a Coonie will tell you, one is never enough, so in late 2007 my first pedigree show boy, Maximus arrived in our home at just the right time to wreck the Christmas tree :)

Maxi introduced me to the world of the GCCF cat show and we attended all the shows in Scotland together for three years when he achieved the title of Imperial Grand Premier. During our trips out I have made lots of lovely friends, and my thoughts started to turn towards breeding these magnificent cats. My boy Zizou arrived in July 2010 and was originally intended to be a second show neuter for me, however, as he grew it became apparent that he would make a perfect stud boy for my dream breeding program and so after discussing my plans with his breeder Diana Collings he was transferred onto the GCCF active register and I began making plans for the future. My first girl Fifi came to live with us later that year in November and my second, Scarlett made the long trip home this October, both of them beautifully raised by Diana.

With my foundation lines in place and Armorica now registered with the GCCF, I am finally ready to realise my ultimate dream and give everything I can back to the breed that I adore - wonderful Maine Coons.
